What I'd Be Like as Your Wedding Videographer

Are you on the search for a wedding videographer to capture your big day, but you're not sure who to go for?

In my opinion, having a portfolio of work contributes to just half of why a couple should hire that particular videographer. There are a few other things that are important when considering who to choose, and that's why I've created the blog which looks at what you'd expect from me as your wedding videographer...

The Process

From your initial enquiry, it's my aim to make the whole process a friendly and relaxing one. If you randomly have a question that you'd like to know the answer to, I'm there to message, call, or email.

Don't worry if you have any special requests which aren't initially included in the packages that I offer. It's your wedding, and if anything unique or special happens, I'm more than happy in discussing how it can be implemented as part of your video.

I'm more than happy to meet with couples either before booking me, or at any time before your wedding day to make sure everything is in order... Just let me know your favourite hot drink from Starbucks before-hand!

The Big Day

I completely understand that the idea of having a videographer present at your wedding may make some couples feel shy. That's why I've adopted an unobtrusive approach to filmmaking, to the point where you may sometimes forget I'm even there - in a good way of course! For anyone who may have been a guest at a wedding I've filmed, there's a good chance you may have spotted me delicately crouching within the branches of tree decorations, just to ensure I'm not in the way during those all-important vows!

The Final Tweaks

Many videographers provide their couples with their video, with no opportunity to check that they're 100% happy with it. I don't believe in this approach. At the end of the day, this is your video. As a creator of many commercial videos as a Camera Operator and Video Editor, I know the importance of my customers and clients having a video they're truly pleased with. This is why I offer a preview of your wedding video, to give all couples the opportunity for any tweaks they'd like making before receiving their final video.

Wedding Videography is not just for couples who wish to showcase their video to their online community. For some, it's a private video and an occasional reminder of their biggest day - best served with a glass of wine. For others, it has become their children's favourite thing to watch on the TV screen - apart from Peppa Pig of course. It also means the following generations of your family can witness the moment you two tied the knot.
